Why I don't do mass production jewellery
Although I took a course on mass-produced earrings (yes, that one from Domestika), the truth is I never intended to follow that path. In the end, it all comes down to one thing: sticking with what works for you.
The course came along by chance, at a moment when I needed to experiment (scrolling through Instagram, let's be honest). And it was exactly what I needed: a technical foundation. I watched all the videos, learned the logic of mass production, and realised that what truly interested me was the process, not the repetition.
My first attempts were born from that, and even now I'm proud of those pieces (especially since my friends wear them). I made them without pressure, with freedom. Conditioning the clay still feels like a nightmare to me, but it's also an exercise that's taught me to embrace patience.
That's why, instead of using clay cutters, I work with a craft knife, cutting piece by piece, intuitively. Each earring is born from a moment. What I aim for isn't perfection, but character.
Mass production wasn't for me. What I wanted was something else: to listen to my own voice (or to the podcasts I listen to while I work. Not everything can be that intense).
